Across both, I deliberately destabilize fixed meanings and reveal dual interpretations, reversing the fixed or negative associations into open, generative, and even hopeful ones.<\/span><\/p>\n Working in acrylic, I employ repetition and highly structured composition to establish order while embedding subtle disruptions. Simplified, flattened, graphic forms function as a means of distillation, reducing complex inner states into direct visual language. When anchoring language as the subject, I introduce texture, where text becomes physical.<\/span><\/p>\n Symbolic imagery and wordplay enable me to approach complex emotional states with a sense of lightness. I invite active engagement, encouraging viewers to resist singular readings and challenge their own perceptions.
